Vir-Away Keeps the Dr. Away!

My latest O B S E S S I O N is the Vir-Away essential oil blend from Snow Lotus. A few months ago, I was on the verge of getting sick. I felt run down and had a sore throat. I could feel my body just starting to crash. Luckily, I had recently purchased Vir-Away from Snow Lotus and decided it was a good time to test out the product. For three days, I doused the area behind my ears and my neck (where so many glands are). The results….it completely worked! I didn’t get sick and now I am completely hooked!

The Vir-Away blend is made up of Niaouli, Thyme linalool, and Narrow-leaf Eucalyptus. The blend is similar to Thieves, in the sense that it can be used topically, defused and as a disinfectant and sanitizer in your home. Since Snow Lotus products are made by an acupuncturist (heck yes!) they also claim that this blend strengthens Wei Qi. Wei Qi can be best described as the outer protective layer over our bodies that keeps us healthy and thriving. Who hell wouldn’t want to strengthen that?!

This citrusy and sweet scent is a form of tea tree. It’s primary properties are to act as an astringent for oily skin, as well as to disinfect. It should not be surprising that Niaouli can be used as an effective antiseptic. It’s recommended to use on bug bites, cuts, or sores that are at risk for infection. The incredibly citrusy scent also makes it a very stimulating essential oil.

The relaxing and anti-stressing scent of thyme balances out the potency of the niaouli. Thyme is antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory! Thyme used on it’s own is effective for upper respiratory infections, acne, and even for oral health. It is amazing at fighting away inflammation throughout the body and smells soothing enough to calm anxiety at the same time.

Narrow-Leaf Eucalyptus

The obvious ingredient for any respiratory issues. Eucalyptus is a common go-to for any congestion, coughing, sniffling and sneezing immune system complications. The plant’s beautiful aroma is unmistakable. It is extremely effective for opening up the sinuses and clearing away any phlegm.

Let’s be honest, the winter weather has been truly disturbing this year. This is supposed to be “yin time.” Meaning the time we go inward, get warm, and rest in the darkness. With the warmer temperatures and erratic storms it has been extremely challenging to stay yin. Colds are on the rise, and the flu has become extremely dangerous. Why not try Vir-Away this season? Distill it, dilute it with water and use as a natural cleanser in your home, or pull a Sara and just saturate you’re glands with the blend. Use when you are battling sickness and as a preventative measure!
