This morning I woke to read Meghan Markle’s public statement about suffering a miscarriage in July.  If you haven’t read her opinion piece in the #NYTimes yet, do yourself a favor and read it immediately.

Having suffered my own miscarriages and being a fertility specialist, I understand how complex this grief can be.  The loss is so real and it hurts for a long time.  With women like #Meghan and #Chrissy stepping forward it seems like the silent suffering is starting to come to an end.  Miscarriages happen OFTEN.  The loss and the pain shouldn’t be anything to be silenced.
